Boring, as in: it just works, nobody thinks about it, and operations never stop to ask why. That's been the job since 1995.
Who we are
Airopath is an independent wireless LAN consulting and engineering firm headquartered in Seattle. We started in 1995 — before 802.11 was ratified as a standard — and we've spent every year since doing one thing: engineering enterprise wireless networks that hold up under real operations.
Our clients run fulfillment networks, hospital floors, global store fleets, factories, and campuses. What they have in common is that wireless isn't a convenience for them — it's load-bearing. When the scanners drop, trucks don't leave. When clinical telemetry blips, that's not an IT ticket, it's a patient-safety conversation. We engineer for that standard.
Why independence matters
Airopath doesn't resell hardware. No access points, no controllers, no licenses. That's a deliberate choice, and it changes the shape of every recommendation we make: a design's bill of materials is sized by requirements, an audit's fix list is ranked by risk, and neither answers to a sales quota.
We maintain a Cisco Premier Partner relationship because most of our clients run Cisco and platform depth matters — but partnership means expertise, not obligation. We engineer for the network you should have, on whatever platform earns its place.
How we got here
Three decades in this field produce a particular kind of judgment: we've surveyed thousands of facilities, watched every generation of Wi-Fi arrive with its promises, and learned which problems are solved by new hardware and which are only ever solved by engineering. That judgment — more than any tool — is what clients hire.
